What really gets me is the IT manual does not address MY steering valve. The manual tells me to attach a pressure gauge to it. There is no provision for a gauge on my valve. I know what valve they are referring to, I had one like it on my 445 and my UB Special. But the valves on both my M5 and 4Star are different, they take the threaded fittings on the end of the tubes, no O-rings and a clip. I had to affix a gauge in the feed line between the pump and the steering valve and 3/8" inverted flare fittings are a bit hard to come by. [Reply]  [No Email]

If the early M670's are the same set up I do have a shop manual on one so I will look in there too. On a factory recall they had put a steering shaft holder on the rod to the worm gear. It had locked up and wasn't letting the steering shaft work in and out to activate the trigger on the power steering valve. It would let it move one way but not enough the other way. It seems like there are alot of things to add up to getting it to work properly....but there are so many... I suppose that is why they put the extra steering shaft supports by the valve on the first M670s. [Reply]  [No Email]
