So i have a oliver g1355 with the 585mm motor how do you get the cam out? It looks like i have to pull the cam gear to get at another plate off, does this sound right? The reason I"m doing this is the key on the crank gear has slop and knock when you crank it. I got the tractor not running and got it going but it is bad every exaust valve hit the pistons for awhile it mushroomed out the tops of the pistons not sure what went first or is someone put it together wrong once and then put it right, any way it is a mess, any help would be great
Thanks Kyle

Go to agcopartsbooks.com and sign in under "guest". Then search for G-1355. It will give you all the breakdowns of the parts. It is very helpful to see how they are put together.

The cam will come out the front without taking the gear off. If you have the internal pump you have to take it out or if it has the tach drive you will have to take it out. You also have to have the lifters pushed up.
