GVI diesels used 10A4214 heads as did U, UB & 5* diesels (All originally 4-1/4 bore). 10A4222 heads were used on 4-5/8 bore engines.

| ok cool thanks for the info!! umm i think them tractors out in the junk yard are 5* diesels but the guy is worryed about sellin me one in case its cracked too.... is it possible to weld up a crack? beacuse it only gives me problems when its warmed up when the cast expands

| The 5 star diesel may have the 10A4222 heads like the M5. The 5 star diesel had a 336 diesel, while the gas and lp 5 stars had the 283 engine. I cannot comfirm the head # for the 5 star since I cannot find my 5 star parts manual at this time.
