I got my grandpa's cylinder that he used on his jd baler. I've got another one that he had with his ub that is big. The one from the baler is small and skinner than the other one. Did MM make 2 different sizes? Grandpa also had 2 ztu one which had hyd for a cult.

There were several sizes of heavy Cast Iron Cylinders, as well as several sizes of "yokes" on the Cylinders. MM also used a bunch of different cylinder for other applications.

Here is a picture. I hope it loads.

Yesterday I was looking for the same info. Have found out there were two sizes and two MM numbers;
MM #10A79 2 1/2" bore
MM #10A80 3 1/2" bore

They take what"s called "snowman" figure-8 end seals, accordign to Mrs. Welter at Welter"s Farm Supply in Verona MO. She"s got them.

My smaller one doesn"t quite have the big end cap yours has. Mine has the 10A79 number cast in the side. You might have the 3 1/2" bore.

I have both .The 79# was used on mmz the 80# was used on mmu.
The #80 is very heavy I am undesided if i'm going to use # 79 on my mmu restoration because its lighter and looks neater

79 was sized for 1" wide pump rotor, used on R & Z; 80 was sized for 1 1/2" wide pump rotor used on U & G.
