MM / Oliver / White prototype?

Since sometimes a person wonders about "odd" pictures and or prototypes like the G1355 that was mentioned I thought I would post this picture. I found it I believe on an Oliver website, on V-8 tractors so the credit for the photo goes to them. Does anyone have any info on a model like this? Curious looking thing...looks like the front of the 50 series MMs, side hood panels like the Olivers....and what else?

I"ve seen that picture before to, that looks like it is a real picture so I"d say one must exist somewhere.Do you know what it had in it for a motor or didn"t it say on that website. Sure would be a cool one to have, if you have one you know you got something pretty unique

I typed in White 2200 in the search for box and came up with some discussion on it which is probably what you are talking about. Nice read on it..worth checking out. Great info from Mike Verhulst.

Thank you for the point in that direction. Was VERY interesting to read. One does wonder what would have happened had it went in to production....

There were a couple articles about those tractors in the oliver hpoca magazine. It was a white designed tractor with a white built engine. It also had a cvt transmission. There are some old factory movies with these tractors. Word is one has survived and is at Charles City Here are some pictures credits go to hpoca magazine.

I was at a salvage yard in eastern North Carolina about 4 years ago and I saw a what look like a M-670(gasoline engine)with White Field Boss sheet metal. It was complete but I could not find a serial number tag on it.

Thank you for the info. I hadnt heard about any older movies on them. Anyone have a copy of such a movie? Do you happen to know what issue the Oliver mag had the article in? That would be an interesting read.

There is the remains of one of these tractors at the museum in Charles City. If anybody has any interest in tractors this is a great place to go. I had a great time there and Im an A-C guy! Of course the White brands are a similar interest.

This partictular tractor had a 3 speed powershift and not the CVT. A person there told me the CVT had issues with operators slowing it down too fast with a load behind it. The engine had pencil injectors and a rear engine drive injection pump.

WOW! Thanks for the pictures. All I knew from reading the HPOCA article was that there was possibly one left. That is great it is there one on display. Maybe i will get there someday to see it.

I believe the movies are at Charles city and you might have to call about them. Try youtube they may be on there.

Here are some more of the pics from the HPOCA articles.

I can't say with 100% accuracy, but believe the gentleman on the left in the pic is Bill Foss, the center man is Mike Verhulst, but I don't recognize the person on the right. Foss was in management at MM at one time, Mike is known for main force in design of A4T 1400 and 1600 tractors amoung other projects.
