MM Jet Star Hydraulic Filter

Where does one get a hydraulic filter and possibly some of the innards , such as gaskets, spring, etc.? Not having any luck here (YTMAG) or anywhere else. Are these available at the auto stores like O'Reilly's, etc.? I can't seem to locate a part number on the thing.

Try your local Agco dealer or find a dealer like Welters that was a MM dealer in the day. I'm close to Johnson's Farm Service in North Bend Nebraska 1 402 652 3318. chris, had good luck on my 4 star with them.

I got a couple from NAPA, back in the 90's. The element was the same, but the gasket wouldn't fit the canister. I don't know if they are still available or not.

I get those filters from Bumper to Bumper. The filter fits , but the gasket does NOT fit , have used the old one for several times now. I talked to a Wix Co. rep about the gaskets , he had Zero intrest in helping me . Oh well.
Wix no. should be:51828. clint

Thank y'all for looking in. I'm thinkin' I've got another one of those odd-nicks on my hands. The hydraulic filter I have in this Jet Star measures 2½"L x 2 7/8"D. The one you're saying should work measures 7¾"L. I'm puzzled. I've got the little guy out here and I can make out some numbers, but not real clear. It says it is an AGCO 103045A8. The numbers after the 1030 are all scratched up and I'm not sure those are right. I do believe the 1030 part is correct, but they are scratched up also and could possibly be something else. Does anyone have a clue as to what it is I'm dealing with? Thanks.

Part Number 10A7837 (I'm sure it supercedes) is the little filter you need. I am assuming you are looking for the one that goes on the fron of the tel-o-flo hyd housing not the stand up cartridge like the later ones used. The little filter you are speaking of was used up to Serial Number 16500969 on gas and 17500111 on the diesel Jets. Give that number to your local AGCO dealer and he will fix you up!!!

Sorry,

Apparently you have the earlier TEL-O-FlO with the filter at the front, like a 445 uses. I was thinking of the later style with the canister on a separate bracket on the left side under the seat. (Mine is a '62.)

AHA! That is the one. SN on my Jet is 16500864 which makes it a 1960 model according to what I've been able to find out. My nearest AGCO dealer is some 70 miles from me so I've crossed this number with some others and it looks like a Wix 33110, Baldwin PF-945, or a Fram FBM-1110PLM will work. Should be able to get one of those at the local auto parts store, I hope. Thank you one and all for stopping by and lending a hand.

I just replaced the hydraulic filter on my 4Star and it used the Wix 33110. Mine had been savaged by a prior owner and I got all the gaskets, spring and O-Rings from Welters. I was unable to get a new filter screen or prefilter and had to borrow some parts from a currently non-running 445. I would like to find a good filter screen (11A9506) and the cover or bowl (11A9505) to put my 445 back together. I may be able to straighten the cover or bowl but it has been severely overtightened. You can email me at shinnerytree at yahoo dot com or call 3two5 five37 2564. Bryce Culipher
