Did anyone here make it to Wilbert Kerchner's auction on Sept 22 and how did things sell?

Who would have thought the Jet Star 3 forklift would be the top item of the sale. I believe it hit over 11,000 dollars.

I sold Wilbert a terrific original 1967 670 Super gas with 1200 hours in the winter of 1997. I was always curious where that tractor ended up. It had the original "Shaff Implement" dealer sticker on it from Urbana, Illinois. I did not notice it on the sale, must have been sold prior to auction...

I believe that forklift was the one that was used at Kaiser Implement in Mendota where Wilbert worked for many years. I remember that forklift while I was growing up. I assume they bought it brand new. I sure wouldn"t have guessed it would bring more than the 604.

WOW! in reply to Superpicker, 09-25-2012 21:23:19
I didn"t learn about the auction until mid afternoon the day of the sale. I live close to Wilbert and never saw any local advertising. Had I known I would have taken a day off of harvesting to go. There were a few tractors there I would have been interested in. The old Red Nose U was a buy at $1000. The G-1000 diesel was too cheap at $7000 too. My wife"s uncle bought that tractor brand new. There were some other things that went way too cheap too. I think Wilbert must be pretty disappointed.

I thought most of the stuff was bringing avg. except the 604, thought that was behind the money. I think it hurt the prices that everything had to be moved day of sale and the internet part of sale was not up till nite before. There was some stuff there I was looking at but couldn't move it rite away so didn't bid

I did not attend the auction but I looked the results up on Aumann's website. All the tractors seemed cheap. The Jet Star Forklift was the only one that looked market or higher value to me. Too much going on here, I would have liked to attend. Jeff

I didn"t right the prices down. But in my honest opinion for what the tractors where and who the owner is I would say they sold for way under the money. If this was some kinda market forecast then tractors are going down in price right now.
