GB Clutch problems

I am having a serious issue with my GB but hope someone will know a simple fix.
The clutch is not slipping as I thought, what is happening is that under a load the tractor will not pull itself with the clutch engaged but when I pull back on the lever the clutch will engage. So I have to keep the clutch lever at the center area where you are half engaging and half not and the tractor will pull a 4 bottom plow all day but when you let the lever more either way just a fraction on an inch, the clutch will disengage. Any suggestions?

How much effort does it take to go over center? It sounds like it just needs to be set up a notch or two. It should take a bit of force to go over center and you should feel a distinct snap as it goes in or out. If it doesnt snap, its too loose.

I tried to adjust the clutch by setting it up a notch or two but first of all, do I go clockwise or counter clockwise to tighten the clutch and as I tried to move it with the pin pulled out all the way it won't budge either way. What am I doing wrong?

Jim, When the clutch is disengaged the ring should turn, sometimes takes alittle force. Turn it clockwise to tighten, just like putting a nut on a bolt.

Hold the pin out with a small vise grip and put a drift up to the collar pointing in the direction to rotate it clokwise, and give it a whack with a hammer to break it loose. Good idea to spray some penetrating oil around the collar where the threads are the night before.
