i have a Z, in really bad shape, probably not savable. It had one fender, the other one is missing. It originally had steel wheels and were cut off and a rim for a rubber tire was welded to where the cleats would be. It also has a non-removable crank for the motor. any idea on year?i really want to restore this tractor, but do not think i will be able to |

| Tex Aggie just have patience, everything can be restored. It took me 3 years to get my 46 ZTN up and running again now I need to get it painted to complete the restoration. And I have a 40 RTU that is laying all over the workshop waiting for parts and of corse my ambition to finish it. Having trouble with getting the valve guides just right but have patience everything will come togeather. good luck with your project. |

| | The flat top fenders were carried over from the JT tractor, but MM changed in '38 or '39 to the curved fenders. There should be a tag on transmission with the serial # on it. That would pinpoint the year. I rescued a '38 ZTU from a salvage yard back in the '90s and it turned out to be a really nice tractor. A lot of work though. |

| Probably a 1937-38 model. I am sure you could restore it, just find another one or two Z parts tractors, the Z is common. Good luck. Brian(MN) |

| Like Brian says , restore it . Parts can be found. If you can find an eng. from a M_M G 4 combine , they are the same basic eng. We have 2 1937 "Z" s. One restored , one a disaster waiting to get restored. clint |
