Here's my G955 and 1955 hooked to 8 row cultivators. Good sun tanning times!

Folks, here's the deal: the 955 has an after market turbo. Otherwise, it wouldn't have the power like the 1955 does. I have pulled them both in the same weight class stock. The 955 better there too. They are both jems to operate. We just parked the tractors after cultivating 200ac of sweet corn (roundup and non gmo corn don't get along!) They are still hooked up, because we have 100ac of food-grade soybeans to cultivate (fall asleep in!)

Alright, I just have to ask which tractor is the better workhorse? Im rooting for the MM, but does the Oliver have a few more horsepower?

Ya Alan, the all yellow hood would be a '74. '73 models like ours has the white. Both had the good looking "checkerboard" grills not the goofy bubble nose like most 50's had. Both those tractors look pretty good and ready to work.

I thought so. Thanks for the info. Myself I like the white on the hood better...seems more colorful..

Cultivating....those were the days. No one does that here anymore....kinda miss it. Nice pics, thanks for sharing them. Is the G955 a 1974 model? Is that when they replaced the white on the side of the hood with the yellow?

You are correct about the no cultivating any more. Its so much faster to spray roundup over the top. Our corn is a little bigger than that in the pictures. Much of our crop had tassled by mothers day.
