THe McCormick-Deering had it in the early 20's. The 1923 M-D 10-20 my great grandfather bought new had the pto and it was wishbone not spline, They used to drive a early sprayer. We pulled it and put it on the shelf when we restored it because it was right at your feet and being like a wishbone it would have not been very for giving to get into. |

| Hey LW - what vintage was the sprayer?? Are you saying it was from the 20's?? Do you have any pictures of it?? That is interesting...I know what you mean about the PTO shaft! As we towed this tractor out of the crowd of other stuff so I could load it, I realized the PTO was in gear as it started spinning up against my pant leg! I can just imagine putting in a long day working it hard - and coming in around dark just wanting to get some supper and rest - and slip and get a pant leg in it... Howard

| I haven't ever found any pictures of it but my walking/talking history book (dad) says it was like the one that had the hit and miss engines just with out. It was high pressure sprayer for fogging peaches. Over the years I have looked and never come across a pto shaft assembly of that early style laying around anywhere. |
