Stupid question on U-Filling Transmission Oil

I have drained it, found the plug to check level, have 13 gallon of oil-now where in the heck is the hole to refill it?

Ah, thanks! It was covered by a homemade mounted hydraulic lift lever...I see it now.

Much appreciated!

Paul, I recognize your name from NAT. If it were me, I would probably flush the tranny and rear end with a solvent before adding new oil. Drive it around your yard or down the road and then drain it. You might be surprised what the solvent will look like. Condensation alone for the last 60 years can make a lot of sludge in those units. If the rubber shift boot is missing, rain can easily enter the drive train.

I agree. I put diesel in the trans, then drive it around a little each day for about five days, then drain it. It usually comes out very dark in color. I try to do this in the summer...works better when it's warm out.

I do the same thing then I put it in my JD's for fuel when I go to plow days and pulls ! LOL well they're ALL FUEL right ?
