I trying to help my neighbor resolve a problem who has a UB that the hyd valve linkage must have slipped inside the housing. It did work to control the 3pt but now lever won't move. Can someone tell me how the hyd valve control is assembled/operates? Thanks,Jim

Are you using the original set up to run hyd cylinders? Or a different set up? The reason I ask is the UBs didnt come with 3pt. If it is the original set up yes the cam can be worn and come out of the valve.

Thanks for your reply.
All I know is there's a hyd box behind engine that looks original with a operating lever/linkage on RH side. A hyd cyl on RH side by platform controls 3pt. The lever has a long rod that attaches to a short piece on the hyd box that won't move. Is the piece on hyd box supposed to point up or down? It points straight forward.

Yes that is the original hyd reservoir. The lever on a UB should have the rod mounted on the top ( hole in lever should be at the top ) It is possible that the roll pin that holds it on is sheared off and moved the cam inside forward and is locked in a position so might be worth checking that first. Then move on to the interior parts..

If for some reason he happened to switch the hoses om the hyd cyl. Then the first time the Hyd control vale was moved it would carry the control lever in the wrong direction and pull the inside lever past detent inside the box. You will have to take the box apart to remedy. I have made a special tool to repair by going in through the fill hole plug.
