will 14.9 x 24 tires fit on my 1931 Twin City KT

I was wondering what if any modification I would need to do to run a 14.9 x 24 tire on my 1931 Twin City "KT". My grandfather ran 13.00 x 24 but I am having to cut off the old rim and weld on a new rim onto the spokes and since money is tight, the 14.9's are cheaper.

Is there anyone here running this setup on here?

Yes. I am on mine with out any problems. That is the
way it was when I got it. How ever mine is a solid
cast wheel center and not on cut down spokes.
