1949 ZASI needs new home and some info.

Greetings fellas,
I am new to this or any other Moline site, but I need information. I have a 1949 ZASI that I purchased out of a palm readers backyard 10 years ago. It runs and operates well, I had it completely inspected and all the fluids changed when I got it, but havn't done much with it lately. The Moline club found out I had it after I purchased it a decade ago, came and got it, placing it in the Plainview Texas Moline show in 1999 or 2000. I havn't used it much since, but it is complete and I even have the side hydralics for pipe work and a front end loader that can go with it. The numbers are Z946, serial # 004600245 and the sideplate reads US #24, USAF H2063, engine 206F-4 with serial # 05100259. It is yellow in unrestored but pretty good condition for a 60 year old. I was told that this tractor should not exist, as the military got rid of all of them, maybe three left and none run or are complete, any truth to that? Any advise or help since I'm thinking of letting it go, thanks Scott

I own three ZASI"s, two are complete and the third is for parts. I would imagine that they are still pretty scarce, have seen a few at shows maybe about 12 all together. If anyone else has information on other ZASI"s, please post as they are an interesting tractor.

I bought one at an auction a couple of years ago. The serial number is 04600018. Mine is a 52 and I thought they were only built in that year. I may be wrong though. The engine is stuck and I have been soaking it since I brought it home. No time to try to break loose. I have also thought of selling mine. Its a ZASI-M.

I have been looking for one scott i my book says there were 515 made what do you want for it my number is 309-333-8284 thank you

I got one, started working on it a few weeks ago came of a Air base in GA. THe engine looks like it is new in side. Had some of the honing cross hatch visible. The problem was a cracked axle housing parked it, So if you are parting one let me know. I would rather have a good on one it instead of a repair.

I bought my zasi about 12 years ago. It came with a heat houser and a removable 7 foot meyers snow blade. It plows snow great. The serial number is 467 suppose to be a 51.The brass military tags are still on it.It belonged to the Army Corp of Engineers.Someone sprayed jd green over it. Someone else cleaned some off showing original safty yellow with its MED. (mediteranian) number on the hood. When I get some time it will be repainted to the safty yellow with big black letters .The last few years I've seen some at shows but non with any attachments.

I also have a ZASI-M. I am in Texas. I was wondering if anyone has a side mount sickle mower or SM mower that they want to sell.

Thank you for the information, I have a sight unseen bid of $2000, so I guess we will start there. I have been told by some that it is not a '49, but a '52, others have said it is not rare, while some say it is a rare Military version. I put it on Yesterdays tractors site, with a photo, starting at $2000, any further information will be appreciated, Scott

Piston puller - do you still have that third ZASI you were using for parts?

Came across this and thought I'd add my S/N to the list.

Picked it up in Lusby MD, now resides in Pittsburgh PA.
In the process of restoring it.
