G1000 Minnies

Im interested in finding one of these , never worked on one in the field but surely some of the folks on here has ; tell me some stories !!! Are they as powerfull as they look ?

The G1000 was rated at about 110 pto horsepower. We have 6 diesels, an lp rowcrop, and lp Vista. The tractor has a 6 cylinder engine with 504 cubic inches (5" stroke & 4.625" bore) I have a G1000 with front wheel drive and its pretty neat to drive.

and another good thing is there are very smooth operating due to the long wheel base. not like the old 930 case that almost bounces you out of the seat due to their short wheel base.

They're powerful but I wouldn't say that they're scary powerful. I run a G900 and it's nice. When I get off that and get on my brother's Farmall 1206, I'm scared. All the books will tell you that the G1000 was a bit overpowered for the rest of the tractor. Personally I think the allure of the G1000 is so people can say, "I've got a G1000". It sounds way cooler than, "I've got a 900".
