Flame from exhaust

Just picked up a MM U for $750 with blade in front. It runs great but I am worried about the flame out of the pipe. Someone at sometime had stuck a 'cherry bomb' car muffler on it. It blows a TON of blue yellow flame from the pipe. I drove it home about 18 miles. I am new to the MM's. Ihave a Farmall 400 and a MH 44. Idea's, tips, suggestions?

Check the timing. It could be late.

A blue-yellow flame? Turn off the nitrous tank and don't run avaition fuel! Hahahaha.... (Nah, I got nothing)

Check Timeing it might be firing into the exhaust stroke.

could be bad valves, i have seen them do that with bad valves

Its the timing. My BF did that after the new wiring was in stalled. Get the I.T. Minneapolis moline Shop manual, MM-201. It tell you what to set it to.
