IRS Audit Going Bad

The government says "Yes We Can!" with the redistribution of everyone's so called wealth. We can say next election "No You Can't"!They spend the money they don't have in the first place, and then extract it from everyone's _ss!

If I were you and the audit says that you owe additional taxes, I'd just refuse to pay. Next thing you know, you will be eligible to be a cabinet member for hussein external_link!

Who the he11 is he to say what needs concrete under it and what doesn't? I would be willing to bet that he has a few more ammenities at his home than he needs to survive, did you ask him why his driveway is concrete or asphault? He could get by just fine with gravel. Why does he drink coffee in the morning when all he needs is water to survive. As far as tax write offs are concerned, I would also be willing to bet he deducts a whole bunch of stuff that he shouldn't be. Last thing: Ask him how his government paid president's day off was, seeing how the rest of us had to work at real jobs to pay for his stupid a$$. I'm done now. Thanks for letting me vent...

Years ago my wife decided to open a craft store in town. I was nice enough to help pay some expenses from my factory job. Because of the unusual amount of expenses the IRS audited her business. We were called in, answered the questions, and given a second round a couple months later and answered (with proof) those questions. Then a third round-- had to prove where the money came from that had been invested. There was about $10,000 from me we couldn't prove from what account it came from. Therefore because of my kindness I had to pay about a $3000 penalty, like the money I earned at the factory wasn't taxed already. It's really something to be penalized when you didn't do anything wrong. And the politicans can cheat and get by without penalties as well as blow our money on themselves like it's nothing. I know how you feel.

I learned long ago (late 70's) that the decisions of a particular auditor are not "sacred". I had a particularly bad auditor for my farm/business and he did the same thing..go after the depreciation, as nobody really understands the system anyway. At that time I did not know I had rights, but I got some good lessons from the school of hard knocks.

Do you think he was going to spend much of a gov't day coming out to your farm and not find something that he can claim $$$ for? They aren't doing their job if they can't get $$. So even though everything was in order and he could find no likelyhood of fraud, he had to collect "admission" for his performance.

As I was told, when I asked where the rules he was going by were published, he pointed to a huge library and laughed about my naivity in using the IRS publications they make available for farms and business.

Bottom line...I made waves, maybe big ones. Got a complete review of the audit by his superior, he got fired and I got a full refund of the extorted $$. Certainly I have made a long story short, but he was one nasty SOB and deserved to be unemployed.

You do have the right to stop an audit at any point of time and request a different auditor. You just need to politely tell him that "I think we have come to an impasse, and respectfully request a different auditor"...hopefully someone who is more familiar with farming practices. He sounds like a city boy sent out to the country to judge a farm.

I hope your next session goes much better.
