The MM Jet Star 2 that we have the exaust manifold and the elbow that the mufler is clamped to all was prity rusty and I was leveling the ruts in the lean to and the mufler hit the roof and it broke the muffler of the elbo flush with the top of the elbo and craked the exaust manifold around the elbow I put the straight pipe back in and that is working but we dont use this tractor mutch and I think my uncel wants to level more ground with it after the crops are out I think it should be fixed before then.
It is a 63 the only year they made the Jet Star 2 as far as I can tell do I need engin numbers to get the right one or were they all the same

I found one in the catalog that I think is a aftermarket one with elbow and plates for $125.00 gaskets sold seprat and dont say any thing about the clamp for the mufler and the elbow dont look the same in the pickture it dont have the bolt holes for the clamp are the after market ones ok or any diferant than the ones from the dealer

I have used one of the aftermarket manifolds and it worked fine. I did put my Jetstar intake on it. It came with one that was offset, more like a U302, and I wanted it to look original.

As far as I know, the only way to get an outlet with clamp provision is to find a good used one or new old stock. I have always had to get a muffler shop make a reducer adapter that goes over the manifold outlet and fits the muffler inlet.

Several of my tractors are running old manifolds that have had the clamp broken off the original outlet and that is what I did to fix them.

Well Knowing that the clamp less elbow is right I can take it to the mufler shop and get that done I seen one at a show that had a pice made that off set the mufler enough to get the hood open thanks

Stanley Muffler has a original-type muffler that offsets the pipe in the muffler itself just like the original and they work really well.
There are actually two in their catalog, you want the one with the larger diameter for your jetstar. I have one of the smaller ones on a 445 and it barks too loudly.
