M-M Engine Manufacturer

Hi All,
Did M-M manufacture their own engines or were they bought from another company for installation in M-M machines? Thanks!

John

MM made there own engines. It was a core business that also made stand alone powerplants. Some engines that MM used were also bought from outside suppliers. Like wisconsin engines. Later MM combines did use Chrysler engines, but they really did not make any of that combine. Cockshutt did.

Some of the very early Molines had boughen engines and some of the latest ones had oliver engines in them and some of the combines had wisconsin on them most of the self propelled combines had a contential I believe the S and I know the 570 had contential. I would say 90% or more of the MM equipment had MM engines on it

If i recall MM made almost all their engines.I think the MM JT tractor did have a Waukesha engine in it, but alot of prople retrofitted a RE engine to fit.
