I am looking at a 670 super gas tractor,I have a few questions.DId these have live pto? I looked at this one a long time ago and at that time it had been parked next to a barn and the barn burned. I got the tractor running at that time, but found some antifreeze in the oil, any ideas on what I should look for as cause to this? Maybe a seal on a sleeve? The guy is asking 1800 for it,,reasonable? or should I just walk away? Thanks,,Jim

Can someone describe the console hydraulics on the late 670s? I have heard of this option but never seen one. Anyone have pics?

Jim, try to find a serial number to post for us. The MM 670 Super was made from 1966-1970. If you have a 1969 or 1970 it may be worth a premium over other models. These were often equipped with a dual pto and console hydraulic setup. A few used the 3 speed TA like in the Oliver tractors. These later models are more desirable for both collectors, and MM farmers.

Its hard to find a good Super 670 for under $2000 in any running condition. Also consider any extras and options it may have. Wheel weights, suitcase weights, canopy umbrella, dual rear wheel hubs... these parts all bring GOOD $$$$...

Motor parts are pretty common for the 336 gasoline motor used in the 670. Don't be shy! Plenty of members on this board can walk you thru the overhaul process, and help find any parts you may require.

Good Luck, Clive

Yes they had live pto. The antifreeze in oil could be from the waterpump (at least it is on other models-someone will know on here) a head gasket or a cracked head. Those engines didnt have sleeves. 1800 may be reasonable...depending on what shape its in. Any picures?
