44 special camshaft

A freind is looking for a camshaft for a 44 special and cant find a supplier . Are they hard to get? Thanks Merv

I don't know of suppliers. Is this gas or diesel? The diesel 44 special has the same engine as the 44. In gas models, I believe only the bore was increased to raise displacement to 277. I don't think the cam specs changed. If that's the case, you may be able to use a cam from the 260 engine of a 44. Good Luck!
