MF240 wiring diagram

Does anyone have the wiring diagram for this tractor? The light circuit in particular.

Was finishing up for the night. Got of the tractor to open the gate and all the lights went out. Worked the switch through all positions and wiggled the wires with no luck.

Is there a fuse somewhere in the system?

Thanks

The 240 owners manual should show a wiring diag.
The one I have here shows it. But there is a fuse
box: on footstep models it is under the battery
access panel. On cab models it is located on top
of the instrument panel. Also check the grounding
of lights etc. Chuck

I have a ROPS 240, flashers on fenders, rear red light and plow light plus two front head lamps. My 240/250 manual only shows one 35 amp fuse between the ignition switch and light switch

There is a 20amp fuse, but apparently only for gauge lights.

I haven't had to change the fuses on this one, but seems to me the fuse panel is right under the battery door in front of the steering wheel.

The tractor is a ROPS 240 like 495man's.

The 35 amp fuse was broken. I was looking for everything but those inline fuse holders.

That got all lights but the plow light working but it didn't come on last night, was working the night before. How do you replace the bulb? I removed the ring but the bulb would not come out.

Double check there isn't a bare wire or short in the plow light, something made the fuse blow....

As far as changing the bulb..haven't had to do that, my light is a large one with a positioning handle on the top plus and on/off switch on the back, not sure if it's the oem one or not as the tractor wasn't bought new.

Mine (from memory) appears as if the ring comes off, then you'd remove the reflector and pull the bulb out from behind....

Sounds like the same light. I removed the light and it appears to be an old style sealed beam headlight type bulb. With ring removed the bulb will not come out.

I may just duct tape a mag light to the frame of the sickle bar to finish up and keep inserting fuses as necessary.

Had the bush hog disintegrate on me halfway through knocking the weeds down in the pastures before they seed out. I'm just driving around after I get off work and topping the stick weed. As dry as it's been not any grass to cut.

Did run into something with the fuses. They are not standard US fuses they are some oddball British fuse. Standard US fuses are 1" and 1 1/4" long this one is 1 1/8". I was able to jam a standard AGC fuse into the holder and make it work.

Interesting on the fuses, guess I never thought about them being different.

I'd suggest hooking the light direct to 12 volt and see if it lights, also check the connections on the rear of the floor boards, the one to the rear of the clutch pedal has all the main wires going to the fenders (plus returns for the right fender) These wires are in a very poor place for dirt and dampness, my flashers were acting strange and my plow light didn't work all the time, there was one of the connections on the floor board corroded and a wire partly broken/cracked and intermittently touching the frame and shorting, cleaned the connection and fixed the wire, no light problems.

I think I'd fix the light before resorting to the duct taped maglight! My luck I'd loose the light in the field in the dark (with the light going out the second it hit the ground!)

oper the front grill you will notice three little copper connectors in the top of the grill clean them with a pocket knife and your lights will come on

I had to clean and adjust those connections to get the lights to start working to begin with. The problem I was having was a blown fuse.
