I need help I've been trying to identify this Mf65. this is the serial# 661208 we found by the sterring wheel. We need to find out a true model # and wiring diagram for it. I bought the MF 65 for $300.00, it is missing the radiator, starter, and battery. I'm trying to find part and a wiring diagram for it. If anyone can help me I really would appreciate it! I can take photos of the MF65 if you need to see it. thanks Dan

Is it a gas motor or diesel? Let us know what the three letters are before the serial number... SGM, SGF, SNF, SDF or something else.

G= gasoline
N & D are Diesels.

It is an early 1959 Massey Ferguson 65. The starting SN for 1959 was 661164. Thus yours was the 44th tractor built that year. Probally vcame off the line in the 1st or 2nd working day of that year as there were over 10,000 65's built in 1959.

I will see if I can scan a wiring diagram for you.

Jeff

Radiator $269, starter $159 from this site. Link is on top left. Battery is standard 12v. Look for Big Deans posts and click on his website. He has most to all wiring diagrams for these.

Post a pic of your find. Here is mine. I paid $800 but it did not look like this when I got it. It looked more like scrap. Easy rebuild.

Hi Aaron:
Very nice looking tractor. Good job. I just got a MF35 diesel deluxe and it's an oily/greasy mess. How did you get yours cleaned up from any oil and grease. Any ideas would really help me.

Thanks

6 cans of degreaser, a small scraper, a pressure washer, and about 2 cases of brake cleaner. I have heard that Dow Scrubbing bubbles bathroon cleaner works real well. Did not try it, though. I used a grinder with a wire cup to remove the bulk of the rust. Anthing I could fit in the sand blast cabinet at work has been run through it. Has anyone used the Scrubbing Bubbles with success? Thanks Aaron
