Hi -

I found a MH 92 combine recently like the one Dad had when I was a kid.

What year"s were they made? This one"s in good enough shape, a day or two of work and it could be cutting wheat.

Dad always said that was a good old combine, but he sure hated crawling under the header to check the engine oil during maize harvest when it was all covered in that itchy, powdery gray dust that was just waiting for a chance to fall down your neck...

Are there any websites out there that have any information on them? I"ve looked around some and not found any obvious ones.

Thanks for any info,
Howard Henderson
Stratford, TX

I don't have much information but Super92 had the years of production right. Neufeld's book gives production figures as 3,438 in 1957, 4,503 in 1958, and 6,033 in 1959. In 1960 production of the 92(Super) began. All were manufactured in Toronto, Canada.

Thinking the 92 was built during 1957 thru 1959. They were followed by the Super 92, years 1960-64.
Very good machines in there days!

Wow!. Friend of mine bought Super 92s from a farmer who was using until a few years ago for $150. I paid $300 for this one. Our local club has a Super 27 that has only cut 300 acres. Its been kept inside its whole life and just looking at the paint you would have swore it was built yesterday. The previous owners were offered up to $13,000 for it but they donated it to the club.

I have one that looks almost like this except I have a cab. I just bought the land & have no idea what to do with it. Are there actually people interested in these things. I was just going to cut it up for pulleys & hydraulics, augers, etc

Where are you located?? Why did it sell so high?? Collector value? For the engine?

Out here (top of Texas panhandle), I see John Deere 9600"s packed up on semi"s heading to Mexico...

Dad still uses an 8820 JD, but seems like most of the folks he has coffee with every morning have 9600"s or newer. Quite a few Cat"s around, too...

Howard
