They are an excellent tractor. The only problems I know of are if it has a cab don't expect the AC to work. One other problem it may have is if who ever has it ran a straight exaust pipe(turboed Perkins last much longer with a stock muffler)the engine will probably have burnt exaust valves and/or the turbo will need to be rebuilt. Other then that they are a good solid 100+ hp tractor, I'd love to have one myself someday.

The MF1105 is an excellant tractor. I had one that I ran a straight pipe on at 130hp. Went to 9500hrs before the rings got so bad I had to overhaul it. Sold the tractor with over 16000hrs on it. Thought I needed a newer one. Sure miss that MF1105.

If you ever do get a stock MF 1105 it won't have a turbo on it. The air conditioning probably will work(same components as similar vintage GM cars) or can be easily fixed.

The 1105 came from the factory with a turbo on it as did the 1135 and 1130. The 1100 tractors and 510 combines were built without turbos.

I stand corrected. The 1100 s,1130,and 1155 I have owned had very good Perkins engines. The AC problems seemed to be a compressor every couple years.

The Massey Ferguson 1105 was produced from 1973 to 1978 was rated at 110 PTO hp and 83 draw bar hp. It was powered by a turbo charged Perkins 6-354 Diesel, was available with or with out cab. It can come with a 6 speed standard transmission or the 12 speed multi-power transmission. the rated hydraulic capacity is 20 gpm at 2200psi on a closed center system. The AC lines in the cab tended to fail over time.

Both 1105 and 1135 sold down under came standard with turbos from factory, very sweet engines.
