I was trying to convert my MF255 with Perkins 203 to a vertical exhaust from a horizontal set up. Sound easy, just buy a vertical exhaust manifold, elbow and muffler and change the parts out. Turn out its impossible to get any kind of exhaust manifold for the Perkins 203, even used ones are rarely available. But I figured out the vertical exhaust manifold elbow from a 165 would mount directly to the exhaust manifold on my 255. This elbow is readily available. I ordered it and the it worked out great. see attached picture.
