I have mf 275 with a two stage clutch. What is happing is when I mow and it gets in a bind the pto will slow down to a stop. What I need is more info on how to adj the clutch to maybe stop this from happing. I did do some reading on this site but there was not enough for me on how to do this and the one post I did find was to old to reply to so I had to start a new topic. I am needing any advise and or pictures on how to do this. Thank you for any help and thank you in advance.

Just in case you have to split that 275 to renew the whole clutch, here are pics of my rather similar 390, to which I made clutch repair. That's with single clutch so don't have those adj. bolts. And if your 275 is equipped with MultiPower, you've different parts near transmission box too. 390 had loader frame and cabin to slow down my project a bit:

Man thank you for your help I can't get to the inspection plate because my cross member for my loader is in the way so I am going to have to take the loader off to pull the cross member off. Once I do this I'll let y'all know what is going on once I get this done. It's done this before but not as bad now you literally can't get any work done with it. But I also pull a 15' batwing mower with this tractor. But anyways thanks for your help and I'll be in touch. A new tractor is looking really good right now lol.

Hello, the old disc can be worn out or there can be oil leak, that makes it slippery. You can take of a cover under clutch, that is fastened with 2 or 4 bolts. Right behind that you should see one of three adjusting bolts, turn the engine if you can't see any. There should be small gap between bolt head and that clutch thing, 1,8 mm or 0,07 inch. If no gap at all, it's slipping. Open lock nut and adjust the bolts.

I've MF 565 -79 model with dual clutch myself and I've been told that there was some problems with clutch when this 565 was new. I may have misunderstood but as far as I know, some clutch springs were changed to stronger ones. I think PTO clutch disc is pressed by one bellewille type spring, was this changed, don't know for sure. Anyway since then this tractor has worked fine in my use.
