I ordered a new plate and lecer from Yesterdays tractor but I am a little shy about taking off the plate. The lever does not move anything to shift the pto in but I am not sure what I will find, sny help?

It will not cause a problem to remove. Lever fits in a slot to engage the pto. It has a pin that sometimes works out and not be able to engage.Use a new gasket when replacing.
