You might check out this thread. It shows how I replaced that seal on my 202. I'm betting it's the same as mine. I got the speedy sleeve kit right here at YT.

If you look at just the seal on the parts list here on YT the 202 and the 204 use the same seal. What do you mean by the seal nor the sleeve fits? To big...to small? Give me something to go by.

I wish one could edit a post here. You do have the parts manual don't you? You do know exactly where that sleeve and seal go on the shaft right? You did remove the outer steering column shaft right?

As Cary stated, the seal and sleeve go further down the steering shaft, not at the top. Just above the power steering valve.

I did mine a few weeks back, used some JB weld to hold the speedi sleeve in place as it wasn't very tight. No more leaks........at least from there. Ended up putting a new seal in the power steering pump not long thereafter.

Thanks for the help I already removed the bearing or seal at the top of the column where can I get that at

There is no seal at the top, only the bearing #22
Your leaking seal is #23

I doubt if you can buy that outer steering column new. You'd probably have to locate a used one.

You can order MF parts through Agco.com. Locate a dealer near you on this site.

If you can't read the part numbers on the page I posted try this. I don't know what browser you are using but try holding your control key and pressing your + key. This should enlarge the page with each press. Get your part numbers off that page. Use the - key to size back down.

Didn't you wonder why they sent you that large O ring with the seal kit? You never did say whether you had the manuals for your 204 or not.

When I got my 8N, the first thing I did was to purchase the Owners Manual, Service Manual and the Parts Manual.

I did the same when I purchased my MF202. You would be smart to do likewise. The manuals are all available here at YT.

No I don't have any manuals.I took top bearing out before I got the kit. I called yt about my problem they couldn't help me so told me to post on this forum and someone would help me.

If you plan on keeping that tractor, do yourself a big favor and get all the manuals. It really helps to know what's inside before you go taking something apart.

That "explosion" of the steering shaft is copied out of my parts manual. To tell you the truth, I had no idea where that bad seal was in mine before I studied the parts manual.

I am i have had it for about 8 year never had any problems but I had the generator rebuilt in june. Thanks for all your help. It's been good tractor.

I'm in California so I deal with Quinn Co. They are an Agco affiliate dealer. I just give them the part number out of the parts book and they will get it for you. I've had very good luck with them.

You can probably find a dealer near you.

Well that didn't work as planned. Here's the link

But, did you remove the outer shaft and install the sleeve and new seal yet? That's the only way, you'll stop that leak and it will only get worse with time.
