I replaced the original lift pump on MF 1100 Perkins. Noticed the diaphragm spring in new pump is considerably stronger than original; as evidenced by force needed on priming lever. I was surprised what a difference it made in performance of the engine. Throttle response is faster. When I drop the disc, it picks up the load very quickly. Tractor runs and pulls like it did when we were both years younger. Wonder if I can find a new pump to fit me?
