Just got home with a basket case project 35. Serial number on the dash is missing. Can anyone help out with the number off of the z134 engine to determine what year it is?

The tag says Massey Ferguson. So I know it's not a Ferguson TO35, but a MF35. If it's not possible to determine the year from the engine tag, can I tell from casting numbers?

Found a good resource: Montes Equipment Co in Buffalo Grove, IL
They specialized in continental engine parts. I emailed them with my engine serial number and I got a response in a very short time with great info. My engine was built on Dec 17, 1959 and was shipped to the Massey Ferguson factory on Dec 28, 1959. So I am guessing the tractor was assembled in 1960.

Did exactly the same with mine. Found out my Z134 was made in 1958.
