MF35 Diesel

Finally got my 35 diesel ready to go and found that although pto engaged easily without anything attached it's not turning when mower is there. It does engage but is slipping, all adjustments failed to fix so I'm splitting it.
On another note the air box makes noise at rpm similar to a pea thrasher running after me cleaning and installing the wire mesh and oil in the bottom, it's the rectangular model. Anyone experience this?

Could be a piece of tin or metal bouncing around inside????? Also none of my business but unless you are going to use it on smooth dry ground those turf tires are practically useless as far as traction. I say that from experience.

Does have a oil cup in there too and is badly rusted with holes, I'll try without it inside as for the turfs I took off ags that had the spin out rims which are clunking, have to fix them too. Thanks for the insight.

I would take the whole air filter off, and put your ear to the intake... be sure the sound ain't coming from inboard of there..
Got to be clutch huh? Or there would be noises coming from under the seat if it was a stripped coupler or.... yeah, I would play with adjusting the pedal before a split... ground drive? yoke slipping off? See that from the porthole ? Gosh I hate splitting a 2 stage clutch...
you pick that up lately? Last time I saw you there was 2 Danish 35's... anyway, good luck

Well hero there Tony was starting to wonder if that cummins left you flooded out or something. Still got a print out of your heavy duty clutch with the 3 bolts attached for releasing pressure> What thread size were those can't find any to match.

Yeah still got the Standard Petrol 35's, a 50 and a 35 gas with fel. Split it today and way easier than a gas tractor. It's 10 spline and hope my counterfeit alignment tool works. Lots of rivet rubbing and finger wear to overlook. Pics to come.

Boy those clutch jobs were awhile ago. I hate to say I forgot, but I forgot. I don't think they were anything special. 7/16 course? So it's all worn out in there? Could be worse. All this job is gunna take is money.
