Help with my MF40

The other day I loaded my the bucket with concrete while the tractor was running. I had the idle down and forgot to turn it back up. Tractor stalled. Went to start the tractor back up and it does like a quarter turn and returns back to orginal position. So I jump started the tractor same thing.

I turned the tractor over by hand, thinking maybe it's on compression stroke and it's too hard for the starter to turn it. Hit the ignition same thing quarter turn and back to orginal position.

Took the injectors out and the tractor turned over a few times but seemed slow. Like the starter was weak.

I bought a new starter, installed it tonight same way it came off (doesn't want to turn over from the key. I need someone to tell me hown to wire a 2 post ignition to a starter) anyways I jumped the 2 posts with a screw driver and same thing. Turns a 1/4 turn and returns to orginal postion.

Any help.would be huge right now. Thanks!

I would remove the Valve Cover / Rocker Cover and take note of the Valve Train, Pushrods, Rocker shaft, Valves:

Cam Shaft Timing?

What make and model of Engine?

You can jump start with ground cable to tractor(good ground) and take hot cable to
starter post. Just make contact(hold cable) to post. It will start or turn over. Just
MAKE SURE it's out of gear. It will start and run in gear this way.Be careful.
