MF 265 keeps blowing ignition fuse

Hi guys, newbie here on this site. Have an old mf 265 that just started blowing the ignition fuse. Luckily finished cutting/raking/baling my small
hayfield, but when I turned off the tractor that night, I couldn't restart it. Remembered my dads kubota tractor with a similar issue, so checked
fuses, and found one blown. Changed it the next morning, tractor started right up, parked the baler and shut off the tractor. Dead as a fence
post again, put in another (old) 20 amp fuse (all I had around), started right up, moved the tractor, shut it off and checked the fuse. Blown again.
Checked what wiring I could get to and no issues that I can see.
Any suggestions from all you real farmers (I kind of farm like Ed on the show "Green Acres")
Thanx in advance

Thanx for the hint. I have looked over any exposed wiring that I can see, but to look at the wiring inside the dash (like from the key and the fuse holder) it looks like I might have to take off the cab of the tractor. I've tried removing the cover from around the "dashboard" but there are 2 bolts being covered by the cab, which stops the dash cover removal so that I'm unable to look behind the dash very well.
I have looked over all the exposed wiring for any worn/damaged wire coverings but don't see anything that stands out. Will try attaching a pic of what I mean about the dash/tractor cab.

Hey all,
For anyone in the future with this issue (blowing ignition fuse), this is what I finally figured out.
After tearing my tractor apart, (I removed the hood, fel,and half the dash), I changed out the ammeter, the ground cable on the battery, fixed a few poor wire connections, but was still blowing the ignition fuse. I finally ordered and installed a new alternator. Problem solved!!
All I have to do it put the darn thing back together.

Hope this will help someone else in the future

I had this similar issue on my 1980 MF 255. Took the skirting off the dash, traced the wires and all checked OK. Remembered that some had mentioned the alternator and when I checked I found one wire pulled from the plug on the alternator and was grounding on the housing. Fixed the plug and I'm back in business. (I was originally seeking to jumper the neutral safety switch til the replacement comes in. After jumpering the switch I noticed the fuse issue.) Hope this helps.
