Power Steering

I've been changing out a manual sector on a my MF35 diesel with a power steering sector that I bought some years back. I have everything hooked up as the manual said and it doesn't work. I've found the valve assemblies are different from one sector/ model to the next mainly looking at the plunger, ball, and the block spacer. Mine matches the set up used for the 3165 and I followed that procedure which was the more detailed. Problem is when installing the plungers with the single ball bearing and block the manual states to install the ball bearing toward the adapter which is different from the way it came apart. When looking at the complete valve assy on the second page of the YT models under 135 it shows the plungers having the center hole up and not toward the adapter. I'm using a good known pump (Barnes). Has anyone taken the valve assembly apart and have knowledge of the way it goes back? No amount of bleeding, refilling, turning wheels helps. I'm using type A ps fluid.
Tomorrow I'll probably reverse the plungers to match the valve assy. picture.

Here is the power steering part I'm looking at. As you can tell the hole containing the ball is toward the top. I should have said 2135 not 3165.
Part would not paste so if anyone wants to see it look at steering parts for 2135.

Gave up on power steering sector and guess no one knows enough to post info.
I marked off the turning radius in both directions on the floor then installed the manual sector to find a much wider turning radius leading me to believe the left and right sector gears were improperly timed which resulted in not being able to bleed the air out by having a full turn in both directions. Not all sector gears have the alignment marks!

The power steering on the tractors like the 2135, 35, 135 (I have a 2135 that had power steering). I really haven't run across any of them that ever worked like they are supposed to, nor have I got any of the ones I've worked on to work like they should. With the cost of the parts most people tend to just delete the power steering. To try to fix the power steering on my 2135 I'd probably would have had more money in parts than what I paid for the whole tractor. When I took all the power steering stuff off of mine it still steered the same (as long as the tractor is moving the steering isn't to bad)

IMHO both the steering box, and power steering setup are not a very good design (YT would ban me if posted what I really thought the steering setup on these tractors). The Woods 84" 3 point hookup mower usually stayed on the back of mine, if I ever needed power steering I'd just raise the mower up.

Thanks PT. It was your donation of the spiral gear that allowed me to put the diesel pump on my gas 35. After acquiring the 204 I swapped that pump out and now that 35 with fel works even better than before but still is nothing to brag about. Yesterday that one hung up in reverse and this time refuses to come out. UGH!
