Going to look at 3165 in next couple days, gas tractor with drive gear that drives dist. in motor stripped
out. How big of job is that? Guy said not on dist but in motor,Continental motor,Thanks for any help
 
Will need a cam if the cam gear teeth are damaged. Will need split to get the front cover off, and might be easier to remove the engine and turn upside down after the rocker arms are removed so the lifters will fall away from the cam..
 
what would cause that? DIST LOCK UP WOULD HAVE THOUGHT PIN IN DIST WOULD HAVE SHEARED
