Mf135 hydraulics don't return to neutral position

When i lift the control lever to the top.
The 3 point will raise. When it reaches the
top the control lever doesn't pop to a
neutral position anymore. You can hear the
engine lag from the hydraulics trying to
keep raising when they can't.

What would cause this?

I would say out of adjustment. Do you hear relieve valve popping off? I would move lever down a little so it wouldn't be under pressure until you get adjusted. To keep from busting rock shaft. Maybe Diesel Tech will give more info.

Tractor has two levers, Draft, and Position control. The Position has a stop, and with the lever against the stop you should NOT hear the engine labor and relief valve blow. Arms should lift a bit by hand when fully up, if they don't stop is not set right, or internal linkage is set wrong. If the tractor has the Pressure Control option the Position control works backwards, lever fully back to lower, forward to stop for full up, and past the stop further forward is the Pressure Control hitch range.

There should be a adjustable stop for the position control. Raise the 3 point all the way up, then move the position control lever down until you see the 3 point drop just a little bit. Then adjust the stop so it hits the position control lever. The stop for the position control lever now is too high allowing it to start putting the hydraulic pump into the constant pumping mode.

Hello,
The Position Control lever stop should be set to a point of maximum lift where you can lift the lower arms BY HAND a further one to one and a half inches.
