M/F 35 steering

Hello everyone. I have a nice little Massey 35 with the Perkins diesel engine that works great but it has developed a problem with the steering. When I first start it the power steering works but after a few minutes it becomes hard to steer. Another thing I have noticed is that the reservoir on the power steering pump is over full but it was at the correct level earlier and no one has added fluid. Any thoughts as to a cause or cure will be appreciated.

I'm presently working on mine with same engine. Is yours getting air into the system causing the fluid to look milky? That is what's happening with mine. I suppose the bubbles could increase the volume of the fluid. You will probably have to disconnect steering sector from the arms to isolate your problem. Let us know what you find.

Not sure if it is getting air in the fluid but I can not see any way for other fluid to get into the power steering system. Thanks for your interest and I will let you know what I find. Good luck with your project. Those little Massey diesels are great tractors and we really like ours.
