Carb Identification for a MF 230

I have a 1977 MF 230 and want to rebuild the carb. I actually have 2 carbs, both Zenith, and I am not sure which one is correct. The larger one was on the tractor, and the smaller one was in a box of spare parts that came with the tractor.

The air intake on the larger one is quite a bit larger than the air tube coming from the air filter. The rubber hose looked jury rigged. I am thinking the smaller one was original to the tractor. I would like to get a kit for both but I don't see any additional identification numbers on either one. Any help identifying the right kit for each one would be helpful.

The smaller carb is for the older tractors, the bigger one may not be the original carb. Did the tractor run ok with the carb that was on it?. The Massey Ferguson part number for a carb for the 230 is 539715M91, and its hard to find a original unless you find one from a salvage yard. Most places now sell either a aftermarket rebuild kit, or new aftermarket carb that will fit different models.

I think my 230 gas is a 1971 (if that's possible) and it has what would appear to be, your smaller carburetor

Upon further cleaning I was able to find the numbers on them that I needed to order the kits. The larger one was on the tractor and ran ok but leaked sometimes, even if for a couple of minute stop, so i am going to rebuild them both and put the large one back on. Thanks for the replies
