I used brake line on mine when I installed an inline filter. I didn't want to cut the OEM line so I saved it.

You could try some yellow teflon tape on the threads. I didn't use any on mine and I have no leaks.

Is the flared end of the line damaged on yours? Maybe nicked or pitted/corroded?

Well I could not stop the leaks so I cut about 3 inches out of the old rigid line (on a MF65), flared both ends and spliced in a 6 inch piece of high quality rubber gas /fuel hose. I put dual clamps on both ends of the hose. I hated to do it but the constant leaks were dangerous. I surmise that the sheet metal which holds the fuel tank and sedament bowl was vibrating and moving just enough to keep the lines from sealing. So far, so good. A tractor leaking gasoline in a barn full of hay is not a good situation. I am sure the purists and restorers would not approve.

The purists and restorers don't own your machine, do what works for you with the tools/supplies you have!

Glad you've got it figured out.
