Have a 1963 MF 50 with a Continental Z134. Was running well last fall but battery went dead after sitting awhile. Pulled battery out and charged it. Hooked battery back up and when I turned the ignition key nothing. Was a very old battery so had it tested at Autozone - their verdict was bad battery, so I replaced the battery. Now the engine turns over but won't start. I don't think I have any spark.
I am not much of a mechanic so would love some help for next steps in trouble shooting. I pulled the center lead from coil and held close to block and see no spark when I crank the engine. How do I determine if I am getting power at the coil?
How do I test the ignition switch?
Any other ideas?
Thanks
