Massey 1240 Console Problem

Hi, newbe here!!

I have a MF 1240 which has been trouble free (except this issue) and a workhouse for many years.

A few of years back the tach and speedometer quit working. I had it checked at a dealer and they said a complete gauge cluster was needed to fix it. They were talking some significant $'s then so I suspect a lot more now. Since speed is not a factor and mowing is nearly full throttle I opted to not do the fix, Last season the Temp/Fuel gauges would intermittently quit working. At the end of the season they quit completely. I have been searching dealer/internect for a replacement gauge cluster with no luck. [b:2602f81416]Seems like my 1240 is a forgotten hero.[/b:2602f81416] One place said that I probably will never find another one and suggested mounting gauges somewhere on the tractor and just bypassing the existing gauges. Has anyone else had the gauge failure and if so, what did you do for a fix?

(quoted from post at 16:37:46 03/26/18) The Iseki TK527 is for the most part the same tractor as the MF1240. Don't know how much that will help as for finding parts goes.

Thanks PT.. I am not familiar with the TK527 but will look into it...

I would check wiring first seems strange that the would work then not, that tells me its a wiring issue if I remember right we had one do the same thing you are explaining and it ended up being a wiring issue, they have a circuit board that the gauges attach to and I think that's where we found our issue,Go to agcopartsbooks.com and you can look up parts, I checked and all the gauges and meter are still available through a dealer but should be able to find them online
