MF 1130 Clutch Problem

I just bought a MF 1130 tractor that has its clutch pedal stuck down, it will start in gear just fine and move freely but the pedal won't come back up. It shifts into all gears just fine as well. The guy I bought it from says he got on it one day and pushed the clutch in and it stayed there. Has anybody out there experienced this and if so what was the fix? Thanks

Take the bottom cover off and look up inside, maybe the release bearing locked up and the three release arms have the ends worn off. Early 1100 and 1130 used a single disc clutch, later all used a two disc with spacer plate.

You may want to remove the panel at the foot throttle and see if there is something jamming the clutch in the steering "tower". I once had a pack rat leave a deposit there in my 1100.

If, as I suspect, DieselTech is correct the throw out bearing is lodged in the clutch fingers. You're going the have to get that freed up before you can split the tractor to put in a clutch.

Good luck.
