MF135 High oil pressure

I have a MF135 with a Perkins diesel. My oil pressure usually runs just about in the middle of the gauge. Immediately after changing oil and the filter element the oil pressure gauge is pegged to the high side. What did I do wrong? thanks.

New oil thicker than what you drained out? My 135 Perkins diesel oil pressure is at the high end of gauge too.

I used Rotella 15w40. This is the first time I've changed the oil since acquiring the tractor so I really don't know what oil was in it before.

My 165 D always shows high, same with the 135 D I had back in the day. I also run 15 40 oil, Shell.

The pressure came down a little after the engine warmed up. I feel better now.
