Cylinder head 4.203 Perkins

I?m in need of a cylinder head for my 165. I see several aftermarket heads available. Has anyone used one and have an opinion on the aftermarket vs a reman OE head. If they have made improvements I?ll get the new head, if it?s typical aftermarket quality I think I would be better off with OE rebuilt. And a related question . Why doesn?t the AD4.203 have valve stem seals?

Valve stem seals are not always needed. Some Perkins have an oil flow adjustment to the rockers by rotation of the shaft. Need to check the service manual on correct setting..

The exhaust has pressure to keep oil under control in the exhaust valve guides. Since the intake doesn't have a throttle body like a gas engine does the intake side doesn't see much engine vacuum unless the air cleaner gets really dirty. Plus any oil that may get by the intake valve guides won't really be enough to actually see burning unless the guides are worn bad.
