Hello, I'm a long time lurker, now a new to me tractor owner and so a first time poster. I just brought home a 1971 MF 165 with the 4.203 Perkins. Its going to need a go fund me account to fix all the minor issues and the major issues :). My question is there a good source for a replacement wiring harness? Also how well does the 165UK harness work for this application. Thanks for any help you might provide.

well over the next couple of months I will have to find a cylinder head as mine is busted beyond repair, that's the biggest thing I need. a head set to install the cylinder head. clutch bushings, injector pump kit, upper bushings for the steering column and a rubber grommet on the outside of the column, a left upper lift arm, still need to make sure of the spline count on that. and lots of cosmetic stuff that can be put off as needed or can afford. I will be having hip surgery in a couple weeks and I figure ill just start buying up part to install when I've recovered from surgery.

Hymie, do you have access to MF dealer parts? or is there a website that I can see inventory for factory parts?

I have a very large supply of new old stock parts that I picked up from closed down dealerships....Massey and others.
I bought them to get obsolete parts for my equipment here. the parts that dont fit my tractors, I try to sell. I do have quite a few smaller parts for the 165 tractors. If you reply to my E-mail....bottom right, Classic view. I can send you photos and a list of parts that I have here.
I do also have a local dealership that I can get parts from.
Where are you located? I am in Saskatchewan Canada.

I'm in Mobile Alabama , about as far from Canada as you can get. My company that I work for has a division in Canada (Wilson Auto Electric)so I am at least familiar with where you are. We manufacture lots of Starters, Generators and alternators for the Ag and heavy duty industry. Which is what actually got me more interesting in getting my own tractor.
