MF 165 Hydraulic

I am a little confused as to why the 3 point works this way. It has an accessory valve on top of the cover that appears to be to be
original. It has 2 levers and one set of remotes. the right side has the remote hoses but the left lever has caps on the outputs
and is what controls the 3 point raise and lower. along with the draft and position control levers. shouldn't this lever be for a
set of remotes and not to control the 3 point?

Nope, the LEFT lever spool is for switching between three point use or right spool outlet use. The left is locked back for three point use. Left is CENTERED for the right spool to work for cylinder use, BUT the position control lever needs to be in constant pumping range to keep the pump on at all times. If not when the three point arms raise the internal linkage will shut the pump off again. NEVER use constant pumping position for three point use, or pump and/or relief valve will be damaged.

I'm not a big fan of those spool valves that mount under the seat with the levers sticking up, they seem to be always in the way. My pant leg got caught on one of those levers while I was getting off a tractor that had one of those valves, it wasn't fun "trip".
