PTO Line/Valve Access MF 85

Dealing with a non functional pto on a MF85. PTO spins in ground drive, but nothing in engine drive. Doesn't matter tractor rpm of idle, or full throttle. Engine pto worked well before the machine was parked a few years ago.

Filters and fluid( was bad shape) have been cleaned/replaced, as well as PS filter and screen. Power steering works "good."

When I move PTO lever from neutral to engine, or ground over to engine I feel no real resistance or click. I suspect that is normal given the hydraulic nature of it.

I realize my next course of action is to probably split the tractor. But is there any possible thing to look into before then. Possibly a cover,or plate I can remove to potentially get into the pto/relief valve and associated lines to clean/inspect before I have to split it? If so, where?

I wouldn't think that the PTO clutch is fried, but I am curious as to if the PTO brake could be stuck on if hydraulic pressure can't get back there to release it?

Thanks

First install a 300 PSI gauge in the return oil line where the switch is for the red dash light, if I recall pressure should be 175-225. If the clutch pedal dump valve is working pressure will drop to zero with pedal clear down, and pressure rise again with pedal about two inches above the lower stop. NO pressure could be the small line is popped out of the transmission front cover, OR the pressure regulating valve that's located in the cover is stuck open. The 85D I sold my brother has a week PTO now too, it will spin but won't pull a load. Have not had a chance to look at it yet..
