I bought a MF 20 3 point non working. got it home and removed the inspection plates. found the ugliest oil ever. nice and milky with a layer of what looked like marshmallow fluff on top. I've drained the oil and found 1/2 to 3/4 inch of ice and slush in the case. have been trying to thaw and flush out the ice and sludge not easy to do this time of year in Northern Michigan. I've got most out flushing with diesel.
how likely is it that I change the filter and put in new oil and it works or do you think the ice will have screwed the pump?
Also have had suggestions of putting alcohol or HEET to absorb the remaining water. Thoughts on that?
Thanks
